5 Unique Discounts You Can Get as a REALTOR
There are many benefits to becoming a realtor, and if you’re currently working as a real estate agent, you may be interested in becoming a Realtor one day. Though there is definitely some crossover between agents and Realtor, Realtors are those who are a member of the National Association of REALTORS, and are, therefore, required to meet a code of ethics. Along with this, though, they are entitled to quite a number of benefits that those who are not members are not entitled to.
In addition to tons of tools and resources that can help you grow your career, you can also become a member of the REALTOR Benefits Program and have access to everything from insurance benefits to marketing resources and even E & O insurance.
About the Realtor Benefits Program
The REALTOR Benefits Program is a part of the National Association of REALTORS. The program partners with several companies and institutions to bring exclusive offers, discounts, resources, and tools to help REALTORS strive. By being a part of this program, you can save money on many of the things Realtors use from day to day, anyway. So, why not save a little where you can?
1) ASPCA Pet Health Insurance
Through the REALTOR Benefits Program, you can get access to health, vision, and dental insurance to support you and your family. But, the REALTOR Benefits Program hasn’t forgotten that pets are family, too. NAR members can get exclusive discounts on ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, including 10% off the base rate of the policy premium for one pet, as well as discounts for adding on other pets.
2) Docusign
If you’re an agent, then you understand that much of job entails sending forms and documents, signing forms and documents, and getting others to sign forms and documents. Docusign is not only a great way to get all this done easily, but it’s also the “official and exclusive provider of electronic signature services” under the REALTOR Benefits Program. By being a member, you can save between $20 and $60 a year on their real estate plans.
3) Realtor Team Store
Having marketing tools at your disposal is really important for any agent. These days, most agents are investing in online marketing tools, while saving a little bit on the side for “swag.” If you’re a member of the REALTOR Benefits Program, you can get everything from customized garments to pins, hats, and balloons from the REALTOR Team Store while saving 10% on your first purchase of $25 or more.
4) Rental Cars
If you’re a successful Realtor, there’s a good chance that you already own your own car. But, if you’re taking a trip and want to leave yours at home, you’ll be happy to learn that Realtors can get discounts on rental cars from several different companies, including Hertz, Budget, and Avis. As a Realtor, you can get 25% off your rental, in addition to other discounts and coupons.
5) TurboTax
Keeping track of expenses as a Realtor can be a little bit stressful, which is why many agents hire a bookkeeper or assistant to help out. Tracking your expenses is really important for once tax season rolls around. Thankfully, as a member of the REALTOR Benefits Program, you can get up to a $20 discount on TurboTax to help you organize a list of your expenses and prepare what you need for your taxes.
Whether you’re an agent, a broker, or a Realtor, a large part of becoming (and staying) successful involves re-investing as much as you can back into growing your business. As a part of the NAR, you can have access to excellent tools and resources at a discount.
