Is It Time to Create a Bitmoji? (Also, What The Heck is That?)
Remember a handful of years ago when you wouldn’t have dreamed of including an emoji in a professional email or text? Now, with a decent percentage of the population, it would be completely acceptable, maybe even appreciated. The logical next step in this kind of enhanced communication: An emoji that actually looks like you!
Bitmoji is a company, now owned by Snapchat, which allows you to create an avatar of yourself and then share images of that avatar with various messages. Let’s pause here to clarify that creating and using a Bitmoji is not going to directly lead to any new business or anything like that. It’s simply a way to endear yourself to those with whom you communicate and to show off your personality.
It’s been said before, but I’ll say it again: People want to work with an agent that they like. You want to put your best foot forward and, if you’ve got a fun-loving personality, using Bitmoji might be a good way to do it.
If you’re ready to check it out, download the Bitmoji app from the App Store, create your avatar, throw on some cool threads, and you’re done! Once you enable the Bitmoji keyboard, you’ll be able to add fun pictures of “yourself” to texts and emails.
Here are some examples of how you could use your Bitmoji in real estate communications:
When you receive an offer above asking:
When you’re on your way to pick up buyers to go house hunting:
When a client sends you a referral:
When the home is finally sold:

When you’re trying to convert a FSBO:

When you help a growing family buy their first home:

When a potential clients says something slightly humorous, but you’re really trying to close the deal:

When you have an existential crisis:
Maybe keep that last one to yourself, but you get the idea! Perhaps the best part of Bitmoji is the fact that you can make it look like the ideal version of you. Using headshots from ten years ago? Not cool. Using a Bitmoji that looks just slightly more awesome than you? Comes with the territory!
