The Future of Gifting with Artificial Intelligence
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with EvaBot.
We created Eva out of our own need to build deeper connections with important people in our lives. Within a few months of launch, tech companies like Oracle, Microsoft, SAP and Silicon Valley Bank started using Eva to surprise and delight their customers. But, it wasn’t until a cocktail party held by Climb Real Estate (during Inman Connect 2017 in San Francisco) that we realized how Eva can be a great asset to real estate agents. Everyone loved our product and Climb RE became our first real estate customer. Since that day we have made it our mission to help realtors grow their business by helping them build stronger relationships with their customers and partners.
Today we have top realtors from Climb RE, Keller Williams, Century 21, Sotheby’s, Century 21, Zephyr RE and many more, who use Eva to grow their business. Before we get into the use cases, let’s answer the burning question first…
What exactly is Eva?
In simple terms, Eva is your personal assistant that helps you manage and nurture your relationships by:
- Creating multiple touch points that start with an email and end with a memorable physical gift.
- Conversing on your behalf to collect actionable data like birthdays, anniversaries and preferences of customers. And reminding you about those events.
- Finding amazing gift partners whose products have high perceived value and usability. And managing the end to end gifting logistics that includes a feedback loop. Did you know that if your customer doesn’t like their gift for any reason, Eva sends them another one without charging you again?
- Writing custom (and gorgeous) handwritten notes on your behalf that make your customers go… wow!
Sending truly memorable closing gifts to buyers.
Sending a gift that’s memorable is hard. You need to figure out what your customer likes & be careful of what they may dislike. And even after you do that, you still need to run out, get the gift and drop it off. The problem is that this takes precious time away from your core job: selling more houses. Most agents therefore end up either sending gift baskets or just picking up something generic from stores like Anthropologie. Other agents end up not sending any gift at all.
Using Eva, top producers are able to send out gifts personalized to each customers in their own branded boxes with a beautiful handwritten note. And all they needed to do was write an email to the customer! Eva helps realtors send out gifts that delight their customers so much that they remember them even after months (gift receivers remember an Eva gift even after 20 weeks*).
The best part is that in a world where most people love new technologies like Alexa, gift receivers enjoy playing with Eva to get a gift and find the experience a lot of fun! One of the top teams using Eva told us how their customers mentioned Eva in the referral introductions they sent out. 🙂
Sending a ‘Thank you’ gift to a referrer.
What’s common among the most successful real estate agents? They all have a great referral network and they know it’s really important to nurture it. Most of the Realtors we worked with used to send a thank you gift card to their referrers. But soon they switched to sending out Eva gifts to them. These Realtors told us the problems they had using gift cards. When you send a gift card it does two things- one, it puts a price tag on the relationship and two it makes the other person feel ordinary. No one remembers (or wishes to remember) that experience. The only reason they used gift cards was because it was easy.
They loved using Eva because it’s the perfect solution here – even if your budget is low, the recipient never gets to know the price and the products we pick have high perceived value. Plus it takes only 30 seconds to send out a gift with Eva. Even buying a gift card takes more time!
Sending gifts to prospective buyers.
When we first saw this happening on Eva, we were surprised. Some of the top producers were using Eva to thank their prospective buyers who came for an open house. But if you think about it, it’s actually really smart! What could be a more awesome way of showing your prospective customers that you care than by sending them a personalized gift? Again, you don’t want to invest too much time in figuring out the preferences and gifts for your prospective buyers (asking them is also awkward at this point). But by using Eva, you can create that impactful experience and all you have to do is send an email.
Sending Birthday or Anniversary gifts to past customers.
All great agents take note of all the important dates in their customers’ lives. Nothing says you care like sending a small something on their birthdays and anniversaries. But executing this can be hard. You need to collect all birthday & anniversary data, add it to your CRM & then figure out what to do when the day comes.
But agents using Eva found that they could do this super easily! You can instruct Eva to collect all the important dates for you. Eva then reminds you of those events, a week in advance and let’s you easily send a small gift for the occasion with just a click! (Eva gifts start from just $20). Making that customer love you even more!
When you look at the way top agent and teams are using Eva, it becomes clear how Eva is helping them make long-lasting impressions among their customers, referrers and prospects. Eva is helping them create the most important asset that every agent wants – a really powerful brand for themselves that everybody remembers.
But where is the proof, you might ask?
Let me give you some unfiltered responses (the names have been masked) that our customers get when they send out Eva gifts.
This was so neat and unusual :), thanks!
